Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 pound Cooked Shrimp Use frozen shrimp, thawed if fresh is unavailable.
  • 8 ounces Lump Crab Meat Substitute with imitation crab if necessary.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Swap with mozzarella or Monterey Jack for a different flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt can be a healthier alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard Yellow mustard works in a pinch.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Vinegar can be a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning Use a seafood seasoning mix or a blend of paprika, black pepper, and celery seed for a substitute.

For the Biscuit Base
  • 1 can Refrigerated Biscuit Dough Homemade biscuit dough can also be used.
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Use chives or green onions for an alternative.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Open the package of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate each biscuit. Place on the baking sheet with enough space between them.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, crab meat, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  4. Spoon the seafood filling onto the center of each biscuit and gently spread it without overfilling.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the tops are golden brown and puffed.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
  7. Serve warm, preferably with a tangy dipping sauce or fresh salad.
