Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, sour cream, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
- Gently pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold until just combined.
- Fill each donut mold about 2/3 full with the batter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the crumb topping. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping over the batter in the molds.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and springy.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with a splash of milk and drizzle over cooled donuts.
