Sauce

Filling
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese Gooey melted texture; can blend with provolone or cheddar
  • 12 slices Pepperoni Can swap with cooked sausage or veggies
Optional Flavor Enhancers
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano Adds flavor; can substitute with Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Lightly brush on tops; melted butter can be used

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the refrigerated pizza crust on a lightly floured surface and slice it into 6 equal squares.
  3. On one half of each square, place 1 tablespoon of pasta or marinara sauce, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and top with 2 slices of pepperoni.
  4. Fold the dough over to form triangles, sealing the edges with a fork.
  5. Lightly brush the tops with olive oil, and sprinkle with dried oregano and extra mozzarella if desired.
  6. Bake for 10-13 minutes until golden brown, monitoring to prevent over-baking.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
