Ingredients
  

For the Tea Base
  • 2 cups Water divided for tea and mango preparation
  • 2 bags Black Tea Bags or loose leaf tea
For the Mango Mixture
  • 2 cups Ripe Mango fresh or frozen
  • 2 cups Water for boiling the mango
For Sweetening
  • 1 tablespoon Honey adjust to taste
For Serving
  • as needed Ice freeze some tea or juice into cubes to avoid dilution

Method
 

Brew and Prepare
  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and steep black tea bags for about 10 minutes.
  2. Peel and dice ripe mango. In a separate saucepan, combine chopped mango with 2 cups of water. Boil, then simmer for 10 minutes, mashing into a puree.
Combine and Sweeten
  1. Strain mango mixture through a fine mesh sieve into the pitcher with brewed tea. Press down on the pulp to extract flavorful liquid.
  2. Add honey to the pitcher, stirring until dissolved. Adjust sweetness based on personal preference.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow tea to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes. Fill tall glasses with ice and pour tea over, garnishing with mango slices if desired.
