Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Boil the water in a medium-sized pot over high heat until it reaches a rolling boil.
  2. Steep the tea mix with star anise and crushed cardamom pod in the hot water for 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea into a clean container and stir in sugar while warm until dissolved.
  4. Cool the tea to room temperature then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes.
  6. Pour the chilled tea over ice, leaving space for cream.
  7. Layer the evaporated milk, coconut milk, or half-and-half on top of the tea.
  8. Serve immediately with a straw and encourage guests to stir before drinking.
