  • 1 package Puff Pastry Well-chilled
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Sautéed to remove excess moisture
  • 1 cup Feta Cheese Can substitute with ricotta or goat cheese
For the Glaze
  • 1 large Beaten Egg For brushing on top

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Thaw the puff pastry at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes.
  3. Sauté fresh spinach in a medium skillet until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Mix the cooled spinach with crumbled feta cheese in a bowl.
  5. Roll out the thawed puff pastry into a rectangle about 1/8-inch thick.
  6. Spread the spinach and feta filling over the puff pastry, leaving a half-inch border.
  7. Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide.
  8. Twist each strip several times and place on the baking sheet.
  9. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
