Preparation Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and mayonnaise. Blend until smooth, about 2–3 minutes. Add garlic, dill leaves, and green onions, seasoning with salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Lay bread slices on a cutting board and trim off crusts to create crustless squares or rectangles.
- Cut cucumbers into thin, even slices, about 1/8 inch thick. Arrange slices on a plate.
- Spread herbed cream cheese mixture on one slice of bread. Layer cucumber slices on top, slightly overlapping. Optionally sprinkle additional dill and pepper.
- Repeat assembly with remaining slices and ingredients. Stack finished sandwiches on a platter.
- Cut sandwiches into quarters or halves and serve immediately for best freshness.
