  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise Greek yogurt makes a lighter alternative
  • 2 tbsp Dill Leaves fresh is preferred, but dried can substitute
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Green Onion swap with chives for a subtle taste
  • 1 clove Garlic garlic powder is a good alternative if fresh isn't handy

For the Sandwiches
  • 12 slices Sandwich Bread opt for crustless white or whole grain
  • 1 medium Cucumber choose firm cucumbers for best slices

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and mayonnaise. Blend until smooth, about 2–3 minutes. Add garlic, dill leaves, and green onions, seasoning with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Lay bread slices on a cutting board and trim off crusts to create crustless squares or rectangles.
  3. Cut cucumbers into thin, even slices, about 1/8 inch thick. Arrange slices on a plate.
  4. Spread herbed cream cheese mixture on one slice of bread. Layer cucumber slices on top, slightly overlapping. Optionally sprinkle additional dill and pepper.
  5. Repeat assembly with remaining slices and ingredients. Stack finished sandwiches on a platter.
  6. Cut sandwiches into quarters or halves and serve immediately for best freshness.
