For the Tofu Wings
  • 18 pieces Extra Firm or Super Firm Tofu Press out most of the water for ideal texture.
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch Or Arrowroot/Tapioca Starch.
  • 1 cup Plant Milk Unsweetened soy or oat milk preferred.
  • 1 cup Panko-Style Breadcrumbs For incredible crunch.
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil Or refined coconut oil.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Smoked paprika recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust based on preference.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Minced Parsley For garnish.
For the Buffalo Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Red Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce Preferably Franks RedHot.
  • 1/4 cup Vegan Butter Oil can work too, adjust salt.
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Garlic
  • to taste Additional Salt for Sauce
For Dipping Sauce (Optional)
  • 1 cup Vegan Bleu Cheese or Ranch Dressing

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess water for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Cut the pressed tofu into 18 wings or sticks.
  4. Set up three shallow bowls for breading: cornstarch, plant milk, and breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Coat each tofu piece in cornstarch, dip in plant milk, and roll in breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Bake tofu wings for 25 minutes, flip and bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden.
  7. Melt vegan butter in a saucepan, stir in hot sauce, granulated garlic, and additional salt.
  8. Toss the cooked wings in the buffalo sauce until well coated.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and optional dipping sauce.
