Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Dry the cod fillets with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the cod fillets for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the cod from the skillet and keep warm.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic over medium heat until fragrant.
  6. Add chicken or vegetable broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce and infuse flavor.
  7. Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, mixing well.
  8. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  9. Return the cod to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, and heat through for 2 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
